Dubai is a busy city. The capital of the United Arab Emirates is continuously moving and expanding sideways and upwards, but in these photographs it appears calm and at peace as the morning fog engulfs even the
tallest skyscrapers.
Shot from the 85th floor of the Princess Tower in the Dubai Marina, these stunning images capture rare moments of tranquility.
The colorful photographs give a different impression of the UAE capital dubbed the 'City of Gold'.
German photographer Sebastian Opitz captured the magnificent urban landscape by defying the Princess Tower’s dizzying heights and early mornings.
Sebastian, 34, said: ‘During the foggy season I check the weather conditions every night and if it looks promising I will make sure to be on top of a tower around by 4am.
‘By 9am the fog will have evaporated so rising early is crucial. It takes a lot of dedication and a good portion of luck to take such pictures.
‘It is so uplifting to be up there during these weather conditions and being able to capture the moment with your camera after weeks of waiting for the right conditions is more than satisfying.
